Immigrant communities are not feeling safe in public spaces.
Q: How can you change public spaces?
This project invites you to cover telephone poles, storefronts, and community boards with the declaration that the immigrant community belongs here.
A: Belonging Pull-Tab Fliers
Print and Hang Existing Flier
These community-created fliers include a collage of images and words that create immigrant belonging (on the top) and hand-written messages of support on the pull-tabs (on the bottom).
Hang a flier in your neighborhood to build love and safety for the community.
The flier project was envisioned by Wee The People for an event at 826 Boston.
Many of the existing fliers incorporate cut-out pieces of the magnificent multilingual “You Belong Here” posters created by the Boston Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement (MOIA) for the City of Belonging campaign.
Create Your Own Flier
Collage your own flier of belonging to hang in your neighborhood.
Scan the final flier as a PDF (or take a picture of it) and email it to us. We will share it with the nation!
