Little Free Libraries in Kentucky Offering Welcoming

Kenton County in Kentucky is bringing conversations on welcoming and belonging to its neighborhoods.

Erlanger, Kentucky Mayor Jessica Fette and Kenton County Public Library Executive Director Dave Schroeder cut the ribbon on six neighborhood Little Free Libraries.

The initial book collection for the libraries was funded by a $1000 grant from Save the Children, an international humanitarian organization whose work in the US focuses on early childhood literacy. Kenton County Public Library used those funds to partner with I’m Your Neighbor Books. We were proud to provide multiple copies of:

Two White Rabbits
Wherever I Go
Priya Dreams of Marigolds and Masala
That’s NOT How You Do It!
My Friend Jamal
Joseph’s Big Ride

Tia Isa Wants a Car
I’m New Here
Dreamers
Golden Domes & Silver Lanterns

These Welcoming Editions contained our unique discussion questions to help the readers engage with the experiences of New Arrival and New American families.

Our thanks to Kenton County Public Library Children’s Librarian Jennifer Beach who has always been an ambassador for I’m Your Neighbor Books.
