What book could make a difference in your community?

Welcoming Editions are individual Immigrant and New Generation books with our unique discussion materials accompanying the book. These can be purchased for library collections, community reads, events, or memorial gifts. Contact us for more information!

Some examples:

A foundation, wanting to create welcoming for African immigrants in their state, sponsored the gifting of Wherever I Go to 150 school libraries. Our Welcoming Edition included a bookplate thanking the donor and discussion questions for the reader.

A family, wanting to memorialize a loved one for his service to the community, sponsored the gifting of 100 copies of Together We Grow for school and public libraries in their region. Our Welcoming Edition included a memorial bookplate and discussion questions for the reader.

A public library, wanting to add books to their Little Free Libraries that reflected their New American / New American neighbors, purchased Dreamers, Two White Rabbits, Joseph’s Big Ride, Tia Isa Wants a Car, Priya Dreams of Marigolds and Masala, I’m New Here, and other titles to give away. Our Welcoming Editions included a bookplate thanking the grant funder and discussion questions for the reader.

An educator, wanting to create thematic book bags for parents to borrow, purchased and interspersed 30 New Arrival and New American picture books into the different thematic bags. Our Welcoming Editions included a bookplate with the project mission and discussion questions for the reader.

A Masters in Education program gave all of their graduates a copy of The Story Boat to send new teachers on their own journeys and to help them remember the special needs of their ELL students. Our Welcoming Editions included a bookplate and an activity they could use in their future classroom.
